 Spanish Painter, Designer and Sculptor

Stylistically influenced by the following painters and art movements - Surrealism, Dadaism  Cubism,  Andre Breton and Paul Cézanne

Education - He spent his childhood in his fathers goldsmith studio. Attended  the Barcelona School of Fine Arts and the Academia Galí

Medium - oil on canvas, ceramics and mixed media

Mental health - Joan Miro's family pressured him into working as an accountant for nearly two years until he had a nervous breakdown.
 

Cause of Death -  Old age,  he was 90

In 1976 the Joan Miró Foundation Centre of Contemporary Art Study was officially opened in the city of Barcelona and in 1979

 Miro received Gold Medal of Fine Arts from the King of Spain in 1980
