 English born painter Thomas Moran is remembered as one of America's supreme landscape painters. A brilliant illustrator and superb colorist, Moran worked as an illustrated for Scribner's Monthly, Harper's and Atlantic Monthly. Moran's skill in sketching at any location, no matter how rugged, earned him the respect and admiration of other landscape painters throughout the world.
 
 Moran's greatest masterpiece is without a doubt a magnificent painting entitled "The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone,".
