Michael Pacher was born in Tyrol. He traveled all over Northern Europe as well as France and Italy. He was welcomed into the studios of some of the most prominent masters of the Italian Renaissance. Pacher was heavily influenced by the Italian Painters.  His complex religious themed paintings quickly became acclaimed for their engaging, ethereal beauty and spiritual vibe. Pacher was also know for his distinctive carved altarpieces.
