Diego painted from his soul. His political frescoes belong to the finest masterpieces of the 20th century.  He depicted the human form with powerful brushwork and seductive colors. His commissioned portraits of the wealthy are rapidly observed and rapidly executed, with passion and drama. Rivera was an innovative and enlightened artist.

Many of his paintings have a passionate quality and majesty that is simply extraordinary.
